how about if we set up a worksheet on our wiki, and we can track
there: based on which phase of our work, what are our expenses, what
we want to purchase, what is our balance. give me receipt next time
we meet. jose is checking to see logistics of dealing with this money
through madlab. also, we all need to sign contract next time we meet.
this early phase of work is an exciting means to collect and curate
data by cell phone, supplementing analog means (such as recording
responses to smells through the neighborhood!). let us keep in mind
that this is only one phase of the work, and we need to anticipate
later expenses, including ass'ts for 2d/3d/4d computer modeling, 3d
physical model, programming of any software, writing/formatting
report, etc - this later work is equally important in characterizing
the robustness of our system, in the domains of visualization that we
are somewhat beholden to.
sarah, is it possible to initiate some writing in support of our case
to pursue environmental data, its lack of availability, but its
ability to define multiple dimensions to site, what it means in the
context of blight and public good, etc. this may be also be a good
trigger to help define the two sets of data we wish to use in this
first round of data curation. something already available and
something we wish to probe further through our data curation methods.
steve confirmed that we will be giving our presentation to his class
on MARCH 4. |
