First, we gratefully acknowledge the support of our respective departments at Columbia, namely the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and the Computer Science Department, both of which have the progressive goals for interdisciplinary research and reflexive pedagogies. We extend our deepest gratitude to Boston Society of Architects for their financial support of this project. We are honored to have been awarded BSA's most generous grant to date, and we look forward to establishing new benchmarks of research excellence with our work. Given what new territory this work is about to take us, we'll steal every opportunity to thank our families, friends and colleagues for their love, support and insight.
